Thumbnails not displaying

I have searched older post about this issue but couldn't find a solution. Thumbnails in the image gallery are not generating; instead they just display a red X. However, when I move the mouse over the red X the thumbnails appears. Below is a screen shot of my issue:

What can I do to get the thumbnails to generate properly? I have the latest version (6.6).

Dear jamesk,

Please follow steps:

Put mouse in red X
Rigth click image
Click "properties"
You will find image URL, please check whether you can find image file in that URL

Eric,

I am unable to right click on thumbnails. Nothing happens when I attempt to right click on the red X. I can add the images and they show up properly in the editor. It's odd that the thumbnail is displayed as red X; which makes me think that it cannot find the image. However, when I move the mouse of it - I can see the image and I can insert it into the editor properly. Please let me know what else I can try.

Which version of Cute Editor are you using?

I am using the latest version 6.6. I even downloaded the latests as of today to see if any changes resolved this and I still have the same issue.

The following situation happens to other clients before.

There is a user control called Thumblist.ascx in the CuteSoft_Client\CuteEditor\Dialogs\ folder. When you are using the Visual Studio IDE to include the "CuteSoft_Client" folder into your Visual Studio project, it prompts you to create a code-behind file for the Thumblist.ascx.

If you select "Yes", the first line of Thumblist.ascx will be changed to:

<%@ Control Language="vb" Debug="true" EnableViewState="true"AutoEventWireup="false" Inherits="CuteEditor.Include.ThumbList"

CodeBehind="ThumbList.ascx.cs" %>

To fix that, just download the CuteEditor for .NET again and replace the Thumblist.ascx file in your project with the one in the download package.

Adam,

I copied in Thumblist.ascx as you specified; however, I don't even the thumbnail when I hove my mouse over the red X. I just get another red X. I never was prompted by visual studio to create the code-behind.

Can you create a new web application and copy the CuteEditor.dll, client files then test again?

I think this issue maybe caused by some code of your existing application.

Adam,

I do not have the issue with a new web app. What should I look for in my code that would be preventing the thumbnail from generating?
