While evaluating Cute Chat I ran into the following problem: I cannot set the chat skin programmatically. The ChatWebUtility only offers the readonly property SkinName. I found out that the skin information is written in a cookie. If I add a cookie programmatically it has no effect on the appearance of the caht window. I also found the JS functions ChatUI_ChangeSkin and SaveSkin, but calling them (no matter where in the page) doesn't seem to be a good idea (chat crashes).

 

Has anyone a suggestion?

ChatUI_ChangeSkin should work.

 

Just make sure you are using the version 4.1.

 

 

I think we have a bug with this funtion in version 4.0.

I upgraded to Version 4.1 and still it doesn't work. It seems that when the funtion is called there are some object lacking.

 

Right now, I included the funtion call at the bottom og channel.aspx. It tells me there is an error in "LoadScripts.aspx, 498 FullPageWindow not found window_error", and right after that "LoadScripts.aspx, 498 Already Initialized! window_error".

 

Cann you tell me when the function should be called? As I said, it should be called automatically and not by the user, as I want to pass skin information programmatically.

How did you call this function?

 

Please open CuteChat.Website\CuteSoft_Client\CuteChat\Channel.aspx and add the following code into the bottom of window.onload function.

 

ChatUI_ChangeSkin("Royale");

that helped, at least for IE.  In Firefox I still get an error message ("desktop has no properties), although the skin changes.

I confused the skins, in fact it's not working. The js errors that occur are described above. Please help, we can not use the chat that way.
