The Tab Key

When users fill out a form, many are used to being able to navigate the form with the Tab key. Tab to move forward, Shift-Tab to move back.

By default, Cute Editor does not allow this behavior. I see that it is possible (In this forum, Tab navigation works in the "Write a New Post" form), but I have been unable to find an example or any documentation on how to achieve this.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Please set the following property to -1 then try again.

Editor.TabSpaces Property

Gets or sets the number of spaces to be inserted when the user hits the "tab" key

I tried setting it in the code behind as well as the control, and it's not working. The Tab key now adds a single &nbsp

Try the following code:

<CE:Editor id="Editor1" TabSpaces="-1" runat="server"></CE:Editor>
