Is it possible to create my own tags or labels for placing data from a db inside Cuteditor?

Hello,

I want to do a mail merge between user determined areas inside Cuteditor and data saved in sql server, thus I need to let the user decide where inside the edited text database data will be inserted. How can I achieve this? Does Cuteditor allow me to use some kind of labels or tags that can be later on substitured with data values from the database?

What icon is the place holder on the toolbar? SUrely you are not suggesting I let the User type that.

You have many options.

For example, you can create a custom button or put it into "Code Snippet".

great! the custom buttom seems like what I need!

What sort of functionality can I place behind a custom buttom? It would have to have a unique name (i.e. address, zip code, etc), an icon and allow resizing.

I am not sure if I mentioned it before, but I need to build a web application that will allow users to design their own invitations and address labels... this is where they need to be able to insert static text and placeholders which will be populated with data from a database.
