Hello,

I noticed this when the 'EditCompleteDocument' property has been set to true.

I inserted the following tag in the HTML mode (we use that in our application in which we integrated the Cute Editor)

,

Now I go the Normal mode and see whats inside the tag 'XXFNameXX'; thats fine, but now I come back to the HTML mode or retrieve the HTML programmatically and it then looks like this

</bgsound>

Clearly we dont want the bgsound tag appearing like this. I tried reproducing it on your demo, but I couldn't think of a way to set the 'EditCompleteDocument' property. Is there a way to do that.?

Also what could be causing the </bgsound> to appear?

I still see this problem happening in Internet Explorer. I just need to take an HTML with a comment tag like  and switch to HTML view, I see a </bgsound> tag being inserted after the comment tag.

Could you please check this?

Adam,

I cannot reproduce it on your online Demo; it happens in my local environment, only when I set the Process Entire document flag to true?

Any idea what might cause a </bgsound> tag to be inserted in the HTML? You did say in the begining of this thread that you have been able to reproduce it.

I took the latest build from your website. I am still getting </bgsound> tags inserted in my HTML. Only on Internet Explorer though.

I download the latest release and test it in my local computer and I can not reproduce this issue. I also can not reproduce it in online demo. Please post your full code here, I will test it with your code.

The </bgsound> tags usually get inserted after the comment tags like this.

Notice also how all the comment tags are pulled up on one line, thats actually the main problem for us.

Hello Adam,

I did download and deploy the new version again, but I still get the </bgsound> tag insertion error when I do a test on our server.

This insertion happens at the end of a comment tag, this sometimes causes a comment tag to be pulled up to the previous line which is a problem for us.

You did say at the beginning of the thread that you did reproduce this error. Do you know why it gets inserted and perhaps how it might be fixed?

We've fixed it in version 6.5.
